Rates are for One Night Lodging, Based on a maximum of Two Guests per Room, and are subject to State and Local Taxes  Advance reservations are recommended and must be secured with a credit card MasterCard or Visa.  Secret Place required payment for the entirety of the reservation at the time of booking.  This is a private facility and is for the exclusive use of overnight guests only.  The atmosphere conducive to the quiet enjoyment of those in surrounding properties must be maintained at all times.  

CANCELLATION

  Your reservation is a binding agreement between you and Secret Place.   When you make a reservation, we agree to provide the home to you on the date(s) you reserved.  We decline all subsequent requests for the home.  In turn, by making the reservation, you agree to abide by all the Secret Place policies and pay for the entire reservation. The terms of cancellation for your particular reservation are shared with you before you confirm your reservation with a credit card (whether the reservation is made online or via phone). We recognize that circumstances arise, sometimes out of a guest’s control, requiring the cancellation of a reservation. However, as a small business, cancellations have a significant impact on us and the services we are able to provide. Therefore, we cannot make exceptions to the cancellation policies.

 Cancellations from the time the reservation is made is NON-REFUNDABLE

NO SHOW POLICY 

   If the guest doesn’t show up they will be charged the total price. Please note that rescheduling your stay constitutes a cancellation.

ARRIVAL AND  DEPARTURE

Check-In 4:00 - 6:00 pm All other times must be pre-arranged prior to arrival, otherwise, the reservation is canceled @ 6 pm. (No Refund Issued)

We do not accept Late Night Check-Ins!  Arrangements must be made for early Check-In    Early Check-In Fee $20.00

Check-Out is by 11:00 am.  Late check-Outs will be charged an additional fee of $20.00.  A front entrance combination lock is available 24 hours provides added convenience and flexibility for our guests while ensuring their safety. Whether it's a late check-in or an early departure, they can easily access the premises without having to rely on specific hours of operation. This feature enhances the overall experience and peace of mind for our guests.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANTS PER ROOM

Room occupancy is limited to a maximum of two guests per room.  Guests reserving one room but arriving with more than two people (regardless of age) will be held to the two-person maximum occupancy and will be responsible for the full room rate regardless of whether or not they choose to stay.

 Wi-Fi is available in the rooms and is free of charge

  Access to our Wi-Fi is free for our registered guests.  The hotel Wi-Fi access code is subject to change without notice.  Wi-Fi signals are subject to change without notice depending on the room’s location, the status of our Wi-Fi equipment, and interference from other local wireless signals The Secret Place assumes no liability for guest use. 

 CHILDREN  

 Secret Place is an adult-oriented accommodation for those wishing for a quiet and /or romantic retreat.  As such, we are not childproof and unequipped for infants, toddlers, and children.  We are sorry that we find it necessary to stress this, however, a breach of our policies will forfeit your deposit and you will owe for your entire reservation. We accommodate guest 25 years and older.  

PETS are not allowed

This is 100 % NON-SMOKING lodging which includes recreational marijuana and medical marijuana, which is prohibited. Guests will not have access to the home if we smell the strong-smelling substance, regardless if the guest smoked it before they arrived or smoked the marijuana during their stay in the home.  The reservation will be canceled without a refund. Smoking tobacco, illegal drugs, e-cigarettes, vape pens, vaping, cartridges containing the liquid of nicotine, hookahs, incense, cooking, cigars, candle burning, the use or diffusing of patchouli oil or other strong-smelling plant-based essential oils or synthetic products in our facility. Guests will be fined and evicted without any refund. Any evidence of a violation-smoking policy will result in a minimum $500 cleaning fee.

ROOM RESTRICTIONS 

 Open flames of any kind of candle are strictly prohibited from use in rooms. Guests will be charged full price for any damage, required cleaning, or replacement necessary.  Coolers are only allowed in rooms for medical purposes. Coolers being utilized for these purposes cannot be larger than 12”x12”.

DAMAGE AND/OR THEFT OF PROPERTY    

You are liable for any damage however caused (whether by the deliberate, negligent, or reckless act) to the home premises or property caused by you or any person in your party.  The Secret Place reserves the right to retain your credit card and/or debit card details as presented at registration and charge or debit the credit /debit card to compensate or make good the cost or expenses incurred. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to the home or property.  Depending on the severity of the guest's actions, law enforcement may become involved at our discretion.  We reserve the right and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the property during your stay,  

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE   

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason(s) that does not violate Federal or State laws.  The Secret Place has a zero-tolerance policy in which we will refuse accommodation without refund, which refuses to abide by the reasonable standards and policies established by the State of Missouri and the owner.   The Secret Place will refuse service or evict a guest who acts in a disorderly fashion as to disturb the peace of our neighbors or that may be dangerous to other persons; destroys, damages defaces, or threatens harm to the property; causes or permits persons to exceed the maximum allowable occupancy of the room, refuses to abide by the reasonable standards or policies established by The Secret Place.  

We Reserve The Right to refuse or to discontinue occupancy if, in our judgment, your occupancy is detrimental to the property.  Property may not be used for any unlawful purpose.

HOUSE CLEANING AND INSPECTION

The Housekeeping Staff is required to enter the home at subsequent times to clean, check for safety, and verify the condition of the home.  We verify that the home, its furnishings, and mechanical equipment are intact, and will address or prevent any violation of our House Policy/House Rules. In the event of suspected illegal activity, management reserves the right to summon law enforcement to aid in eviction.  The right to privacy ends when a House Policy/House Rule is broken.  Law enforcement will be granted immediate access to house property and evicted guests.  In addition, a minimum $300.00 cleaning fee be charged for an infraction of our House Policy/House Rules.

                                                                                                               NO HOUSE PARTY 

   No parties, loud disturbances, and/or noise-nuisance are allowed or tolerated on these premises. In the event of a disturbance, the guest will be asked to leave the home without a refund  Registered guest(s) only.  Non-Registered visitors are not permitted.   If found with more “people” not listed on the Guest Reservation your stay will be considered a party.  You will be ordered to vacate the premises without refund and may be accessed Guest Compensation Disturbance Fee.

                                                                                                           PARKING AT OWN RISK

  Parking for guest is across the street or in front of the home. All vehicles are parked at the risk of the owner. The Secret Place shall not assume liability or responsibility for any vehicle, occupants, or contents while operated or parked on the property.  If a vehicle is left in the parking driveway or on the street after the guest has departed without the written consent, Secret Place reserves the right to have the vehicle towed at the owner’s expense.  No vehicle repairs on Secret Place premises.
